Long a collaborator with composers including Stravinsky, Bernstein, Glass and Schuller, Award-winning composer Adrienne Albert (ASCAP) began composing her own music in the 1990s. Her concert works have been performed throughout the USA, Mexico, Europe, Thailand, South Africa, and China. Numerous commissions, and grants include a 2006 NEA grant in conjunction with the American Composers Forum for the Continental Harmony Project in Alaska. Recent commissions: “Wind and Tides” for Andrew Malloy (2008), “Americana” for Chamber Music Palisades (2008) “”Between the dark and daylight” for Pacific Serenades (2007), Evensong Service for St. Bedes Episcopal Church (2007). Her WWQ, “Animalogy” was a winner of the Aeros Competition (2007) and performed in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall in 2008. She is the only US composer to be chosen for a program in Rome, Italy in Novemberr, 2008.
