Biography:
Pianist / composer / singer / actor / comedian / producer David
Kamenir, has composed music for two musicals and is a graduate of
Cal State Northridge. He has scored music for the documentary
"Everyone Can Make Music" and television commercials including
Winston Tires, Mattel and Epilady. David has held the position of
accompanist and choir director at Adat Ari El for the last 15 years. Mr.
Kamenir performed as one of the "Rhapsody in Blue" pianists for the
1984 Olympics. David has also performed for many celebrities
including Ed McMahon, Glenn Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Kelly, and
Regis Philbin. Mr. Kamenir has performed as a comedian at the
Comedy Store, appeared in AMERITRADE'S National T.V.
Commercial, and played a leading role in the stage comedy "But We
Open Tonight". David has also arranged and produced other artists’
CDs including Chayim Frenkel's album "May You Be Blessed". David
has also produced five of his own CDs. The titles of his albums are
“THERE ARE NO DELIS IN ENSENADA”, "SEARCHING", "JAZZY
HOLIDAYS" , "ROCK B'IVRIT" and "PUN ADDICT" .
In 2002, David and his trio were featured in the national television commercial for Ameritrade, “The VIP”. In addition to composing music for television commercials such as Winston Tires, Epilady and Mattel, David has also written the scores to several documentaries including Ted Post’s “Everyone Can Make Music”. David has also composed the music for two musicals, “Gotta Dance” and “The Cardigan Christmas Show”.

He holds further distinction as one of the “Rhapsody in Blue” pianists at the Opening Ceremonies of the 1984 Olympics, and has arranged, recorded and produced music for many recording sessions for other artists, as well as for his own albums.

In the future, David looks forward to completing his painting of a mural of Los Angeles, finishing a book of anecdotes about his life in music, as well as continuing to expand his musical career.
