Jan Galega Brönnimann and his band brink man ship venture into musical spheres between contemporary jazz influences and live-electronics. The result is a postmodern urban jazz sound with plenty of contrasts and touchy melodic lines. The music creates a tension of harmony and ruptures, reflecting the contradictions of modern life.
BRINK MAN SHIP surprises with a unique mix of sounds, rhythms, melodies and the charismatic voice of NYA. The music is fresh, full of electric energy and hypnotic ostinati. From the first notes it becomes apparent that these musicians have a wide stylistic horizon and are able to play in a subtle and humorous way with musical quotes and influences. The effective use of electronic sounds and samples never slides into commercial monotony; it rather opens new musical impulses of jazz and electronic music in the 21st century.
BRINK MAN SHIP are based in Switzerland and have captured audiences in their own country, in France, Austria, Germany, Canada, Norway, Danemarc, Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, the Baltic States, Thailand and Jamaica.
