Biography:
Lizhen Wu was born in 1988 in Yueyang City in the Provence of Hunan, People's Republic of China. He started learning piano at the age of five, and entered the prestigious Wuhan Music School at the age of twelve. In 2003, he won Third Prize at the Beethoven piano competition in Hong Kong. In 2005, he was awarded First Prize in the Hazimen Piano Competition. Mr. Wu entered the University of North Texas (Denton, Texas) the following year, where he began pursuing his Master's degree in Piano Performance.
That December, he performed in the Lewisville Lake Symphony's Chamber Series "China Classical Concert", where he recieved an Honorary Citizen title from the Town of Flower Mound, Texas.
