Lozelle Jennings was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1949 and has been travelling ever since. A performer with 45 years of experience, he brings the blues, Cajun, folk roots, and heart music to people of all ages. He is a raconteur and songwriter/singer who plays accordion and harp. Recently published CDs include "Loz Bluz" in 2001 and "Racontourism" in 2007.
Jennings has played with country blues muscians such as Yank Rachell, Precious Bryant, Lefty Bates, Albert Macon & Robert Thomas. His latest CD was done with Stephen Hodges, Johnny Bazz, and George Friend, all well-known west coast players. He is currently performing as a single, a duo and in a revolving-door trio called The Purple Cats..
The Blue Roots Duo features Northwest blues legend Henry Cooper or dobro,slide, and lapsteel guitars. Cooper, who now fronts his own Henry Cooper Band, was formerly guitarist with Screamin' Jay Hawkins and The Duffy Bishop Band.
