Biography:
Ratfynkt began with basement tapes recorded in Duxbury, Massachusetts with Chris DeLisle on bass, Mike Najarian (of State Radio) on guitar/vocals, and Steve DiRamio on drums. Joe Forte (lead guitar) and Dom Locapo (lead vocals) joined forces with the trio in 2008 and the band began to make a name for itself by playing venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Harper’s Ferry, and Church in Boston, Massachusetts. From 2009-2011 the band played more shows throughout the Northeast and down the East Coast and hopes to continue to expand in the future. Currently, Ratfynkt is actively looking for any and all good live show opportunities so please feel free to contact us.

In 2009 and early 2010, Ratfynkt recorded tracks for their debut album ‘Populate’. The album was released on DeRame Records on Oct 24, 2010 and recorded in WERS studios in Boston, MA. It was mixed, produced, and engineered by the band’s good friend Conrad Osipowicz with Blue Room Studios in Bethesda, MD. Jeff Bousquet and Dan Gamache of Boston, MA also played an extremely prominent role in the engineering process. The album was mastered by Jim Kashishian of Kash Productions in Spain. You can download the album from Bandcamp.

In early 2011, Ratfynkt recorded 5 acoustic/electric songs for a new EP entitled ‘Bare None’. Jeff Bousquet engineered the project and Conrad Osipowicz mixed and mastered the project. The EP will be released on Sat June 18th at an EP Release Party at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA. It will also be available for digital download on bandcamp. Get excited for some new Fynkt!

Ratfynkt’s mission is to bring back music that says something of substance and just plain rocks. As we all know, the power and influence of music is endless and is something that must be respected by rocking your face off.
