Biography:
Conducted by Robert Carnochan, the Wind Symphony is comprised of student musicians from across campus who have demonstrated an outstanding level of musicianship and commitment to excellence.

The mission of The University of Texas Bands is to provide an environment that promotes performances of wind and percussion music of the highest quality. The goal of these performances is to foster the highest level of music-making, music learning and musical experience for performers and audiences alike, creating an environment in which teachers, performers, and patrons share in the promotion and furtherance of wind band music.


The Wind Symphony performs five to six concerts during each academic year featuring a number of challenging new works for wind band in addition to many works that are considered to be at the core of wind literature.
