Karen Bogardus has had extensive experience as an orchestral/classical flutist. She has performed with the following groups: Dorian Quintet, Tanglewood; Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey; Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic; Orquesta Sinfonica de Aguascalientes, Mexico; Irving Symphony Orchestra, TX; Wichita Falls Symphony, TX; Filarmonica de Queretaro, Mexico; Filarmonica de Jalisco, Mexico; Primer Festival Internacional de Musica, Mexico; Sinfonieta del ISSSTE, Mexico; Woodwind Quintet, Anastasio Flores del ISSSTE, Mexico; Orquesta Sinfonica de Xalapa, Mexico; Orquestra Gulbenkian, Lisbon, Portugal; International Orchestra, San Diego, CA; & Pacific Chamber Opera, San Diego, CA. She also played the film sound track recording "House on Haunted Hill".
Ms. Bogardus completed her Doctor of Musical Arts residency at the University of North Texas, Denton, TX. She earned a Master of Music Degree at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, a Bachelor of Music Degree at New England Conservatory, Boston, MA, and spent a year studying at St. Maur Conservatoire, St. Maur, France. She also attended the Julliard Pre-college Division of The Julliard School, NY.
