Biography:
"Paula Boggs’ unique voice, sharp and witty writing, and knack for producing slick melodies and jazzy-bluesy rock music is enlightening. Her music is folksy at times, pop-like at others, and balanced out by some charming mid-tempo stuff that is quite refreshing. Playing acoustic guitar, her material is part Janis Ian and part Carole King, with a wee bit of Tracy Chapman thrown in on the vocal end of things, but her authentic voice makes her work sound genuine, modern, and reflective."

- Mike DeGagne, Freelance Music Critic, AllMusic.

Boggs, a "recovered" Fortune 500 exec, produced her debut CD, "A Buddha State of Mind," in 2010 and among the venues her band has o performed in Seattle are Hard Rock Cafe, The Triple Door and Neptune Lounge. The band made it's Portland debut at Mississippi Studios in 2013 and beyond the Northwest, Paula Boggs Band has played Philly's World Cafe and The Duplex in Greenwich Village. Boggs appears on the compilation CD, "Bringing Clean Water to the World," (2010) benefiting the 501©(3) Clean Water Foundation and on the December 2012 released Songwriters in Seattle Compilation CD. Song "The Decision" ("Carnival of Miracles) was also just selected as "Recommended" in the 2013 SongwriterOfTheYear Competition. Whether finding it's way to a documentary, helping support a worthy cause or simply touching a listener, Paula Boggs Band aspires to make music that matters. The band is excited about returning to the studio in July 2013 and touring to support its newly-released record thereafter. As one fan put it, "an enigmatic, original voice with great feeling, this artist's best work is ahead. I hope she can find a place in an empty soulless music industry of today. A female Leonard Cohen? I think so and I mean that as a compliment.”
