Mr. Fetherston has performed as soloist, and in chamber music groups and orchestras in many places across the U.S. and in Europe. His musical programs have included music from Renaissance to Contemporary, from Monteverdi to Ellington, from Bach to Barry White, from solo recitals to Broadway musicals. Tom's first professional gig was Concertmaster of Albuquerque Civic Light Opera, in 1980, before matriculating at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Since then, Mr. Fetherston has performed innumerable works of modern composers – a good number of which were world premieres. A sampling of his favorites: György Ligeti, Luciano Berio, Donald Erb, George Crumb, Forrest Covington, Christopher Morgan Loy.
Tom is currently a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, an Associate Musician with the Columbus Symphony, and Concertmaster of the Central Ohio Symphony. He lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Mary and son Daniel, both of whom are cellists.
