Biography:
THE EBONYS are a 70's soul group that originated in Camden, NJ. They auditioned for Philadelphia International Records and were signed by Gamble & Huff. They released two albums, one of which reached the top of the pop charts. Five of their songs were in the top 100 of the R & B charts such as "ITS FOREVER," "LIFE IN THE COUNTRY" and "YOU THE REASON WHY" to name a few. In 2005, lead vocalist William Smoke Howard released "THATíS WHAT LOVE DOES" written & produced by Vincent Montana. The Ebonys still are doing their classics around the country and have some new projects in the works.
