Michele Jusko's passion for singing and songwriting started at the ripe old age of seven, in a little apartment in Queens, New York, when she wrote her first original song "Another Peanut Butter Love Song." Michele’s adoration for peanut butter was poetically expressed in her first song. It's as if another Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan was born.
Today, Michele's love for music is just as strong, however, her songwriting inspiration has ventured a little past her peanut butter obsession. Her debut album "The Great Unknown" (which will be released in October) is a unique collection of soulful, Pop/Rock & Adult Album Alternative songs with catchy melodies and thought provoking lyrics. Her songwriting reaches deep and engages listeners from all walks of life.
Michele Jusko's music has already received critical acclaim from fans and industry supporters alike. Her original song “Beautiful Neurosis” (from her first EP of the same title) was featured in the CBS TV series “Shark” starring James Woods and was also a top ten finalist in the pop/rock category of the American Idol Underground Contest. Michele's ballad “Walk Away” was a runner-up in the John Lennon Songwriting contest and will soon be seen in the indie film "Vacuuming the Cat" starring Barbara Hershey. In 2008, Michele was a featured artist on XM Satellite Radio's prestigious Radar Report and was the coveted "Staff Pick" out of thousands of unsigned artists for Clear Channel New! Music.
