Native by Alex Bellegarde
Native is dedicated to Harmony for Humanity in memory of Daniel Pearl and was played at my concerts during Daniel Pearl World Music Days, 2008. First recorded on our album Caminando in 2006 and again this year for a DVD video, during a concert in Montréal, Native is about contemplation of origins, displacements and reconnection through music, but mostly about feelings absorbed and hopes expressed.
Alex Bellegarde Quartet: Yoël Diaz (piano) Erik Hove (alto sax) Yvon Plouffe (drums) Alex Bellegarde (double bass). Guest : Orlando Lavielle (congas).
